I feel like a bun that represents invisible and/or dynamic disability would be widely relatable. I think it should have a spoon depicted somehow as many of us identify as "spoonies" based on Spoon Theory. It might have a mask or be split down the middle with one side representative of bad flare days (e.g. such as the days you need to use mobility aids and experience severe pain), and the other side representing the better days when you are more functional. I have ambulant wheelchair users in mind, too.
PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) – fertility issues, growth of excess body hair, very painful periods, hormone imbalance, weight fluctuation, etc
I know there’s already an Autism Bunny (several actually) but I would love it if there could be an Asperger’s Bunny. I’m not really sure how this one would be designed … I know the condition is really rare in boys (1 in 30,000 I was told) and twice as rare in girls (1 in 60,000?), and how no 2 people Asperger’s are alike, the condition is a spectrum like a rainbow with all the shades of each colour … also blue. My absolute favourite colour is sapphire blue, if this could be somehow incorporated? Lastly … I think it should have unique eyes, because everyone with Asperger’s can look at the same world and see it differently. Thank you Plushie Dreadfuls!
I'd love a bunny for Intracranial Hypertension. It's diagnosed/confirmed via LP or if, like me, the patient already has Chiari so can't have an LP, instead they drill a hole in the skull, feed a tiny monitor on the end of a wire into the skull, bolt it in place on the outside of the head, the hook up the lose end of the wire to a computer for a few days. It's exactly as much fun as it sounds! Since the pressure in my head was shown by bolt test to be very high, I had a shunt fitted – a device that helps to lower pressure by sending CSF down via tubing to a bigger space (abdomen) where it can harmlessly be absorbed. Symptoms of uncontrolled IH include terrible head pain, constant loud ringing in the ears, damage to/loss of eyesight and eventual injury to the patient's cognitive function.
alr, I have a few suggestions :D
ambivert rabbit would be cool (bc I saw that introvert and extrovert ones were being designed but not ambivert), attachment issues/abandoment issues, intrusive thoughts, misokenesia, and I would really like if there was an onychophagia bunny bc I don’t see nail biting represented seriously very often
Hi there! I was hoping to recommend a bunny for ideopathic hypersomnia. It is similar to narcolepsy, but there are typically less instances of compulsive sleeping and active dreaming and more general daytime sleepiness and the inability to get restorative rest, no matter how much you sleep. I think it feels like always having pulled an all-nighter or constantly being jet lagged. I wonder if a bunny could have a blanket or a pillow, because I know that we with IH are nap champions and can fall asleep anywhere within just a couple minutes. IH can also cause brain fog and sleep inertia, where people have an extreme difficulty in waking up in the morning (and usually have to set 10+ alarms).
A high blood pressure bun would be great ! It could have a red/pink colour theme to represent blood and the high body heat some experience from a high heart rate. It could also have the alchemical symbol for gold as it symbolises the heart. Some references to headaches/dizziness/nosebleeds would also be great !
I'd love to see a VCD (vocal chord dysfunction) bunny ! It could have a blue theme for difficulty catching your breath and the alchemical symbol for air on it's chest !
I would love to see a psoriatic arthritis bunny that signifies the psoriasis rashes the multiple joint pains and the fatigue
Hi! I would like to suggest a flop response bunny. I saw that there are fear response bunnies but did not see flop, which is often not known about and can be confused with the freeze response, although they are similar. Freeze, from how I understand it, is like hyperarousal, but flop is the opposite, being hypoarousal and can look like: showing lack of emotions, appearing disengaged, disorientation, loss of control of bodily functions, even total body collapse (like blackouts or losing consciousness), even dissociating. I was thinking that one aspect of the design could be the alchemical symbol of Pluto on the ears, like freeze, because they are similar but behave differently. I am hoping that this would bring more awareness to the different fear responses because understanding how I have responded has helped me be more accepting of myself. I hope this made sense too.
